Interior Detailing




So you've been busily detailing the outside of your car, and it is now sat in the sun, gleaming and looking spectacular. Are you finished? Of course not, you forgot about the interior! Whilst you may admire your car whilst it is parked in the driveway you will spend most of your time inside your vehicle so interior detailing is vital if you want to feel geuinely proud of your vehicle and to show it off and enjoy it to its maximum potential. Obviously the first thing you will want to do when detailing the interior of your car is remove all of the soft drink cans, sweet packets and fast food wrappers and dispose of them properly!

Ensure that the inside of your vehicle is clear of any debris, paper and other items that do not belong in there before commencing interior detailing or you end up simply moving rubbish around your car when interior detailing rather than cleaning it properly. The next step of interior car detailing is to vacuum. Whilst many choose to purchase specialist auto-vacs designed for cars these can often be lacking in suction and the best solution is to simply run an extension cord from your home to your vehicle and use a household vacuum cleaner with a hand-held nozzle. This will allow you to commence interior detailing of your car properly be getting into the various nooks and crannies where dirt tends to collect and giving them a thorough cleaning.

If there are stains on your carpet them there are various products dedicated to car interior detailing that will help you remove these, and there are also products that will help you remove marks, stains and blemishes from just about any surface inside your vehicle from plastic through to mahogony through to soft natural leather. The trick with car interior detailing is to work through one thing at a time; for instance after vacuuming then set to work on the upholstery, and after that commence cleaning the consoles and dash. If you work through systematically the job will prove far simpler and will be much more successful. Don't forget to clean the windows of your car properly as well, many overlook this vital facet of car interior detailing and will leave them covered in finger marks and dust and dirt.
